Artist Statement

I’m a mixed media collage artist whose work explores narrative and the surreal. Coming from a background in English literature and composition, I approach collage as a form of storytelling, using imagery to express human emotion and psychological tension.

My work combines paper collage with a range of mixed media and fabric. Drawing from both contemporary publications and carefully sourced vintage ephemera, I create compositions that invite questions. Faces and figures often serve as entry points into these visual narratives, hinting at unseen stories and emotion. 

My expressionist approach embraces contradiction—humor and melancholy, chaos and control, nostalgia and irreverence. Through an intuitive process of assembling incongruous fragments, I seek to evoke dreamlike associations that linger beneath the surface of everyday experience.
